Robert F. ListRobert List is the chief executive officer of The Robert List Company, a consulting firm providing government affairs, regulatory and political advisory services to corporate clients at the local, state,and federal levels. The firm's clients include those engaged in the businesses of energy, mining, construction, gaming, manufacturing and real estate development. He serves on several boards of directors, including Business Bank of Nevada, Clark & Sullivan Constructors, Keystone Corporation and Nevada Taxpayers Association. He served on the George W. Bush Transition Team for the Department of Interior in 2001 and served on the Finance Committee for the Bush-Cheney 2000 and 2004 Campaigns.
Mr. List served as Carson City, Nevada District Attorney from 1966 to 1970 and Attorney General of Nevada from 1970 to 1978. In 1978, he was elected Governor, serving in that capacity until 1983. He served as Chairman of both the Western Governors Association and the Conference of Western Attorneys General.
He received his JD and LLD degrees from the Hastings College of Law at the University of California in 1962. He is licensed with the State Bar of Nevada, District of Columbia Bar, and U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Nevada State Bar Association, Society of Attorneys General Emeritus and Past Governors' Association.
He is married to Mary Ann (Polly) Minor List and they have two children, Robert and Elizabeth. He also has three adult children - Suzanne, Hank and Michelle. |
