Polly Minor ListPolly was born in Washington, D.C., where her father served in the Eisenhower Administration.
She attended schools in Washington and later in New York, where her family moved when her father joined the management team at New York Central Railroad. She completed her high school education at Shipley, a private school in Philadelphia.
She began her college years at Duke, later transferred to Rhode Island School of Design, and graduated from Ohio State with a degree in Art History.
She began her career in Washington D.C. at the Republican National Committee, and subsequently served as the PAC Director of the National Republican Congressional Committee where she coordinated fund raising activities for candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives.
In 1983, she joined E. F. Hutton as Vice President for Government Affairs.
In 1990, Polly moved to Reno, NV to become campaign manager for Rep. Barbara Vucanovich's successful re-election bid.
Following her marriage to Bob in 1991, she has served as a consultant to various candidates on strategic planning and campaign finance.
Polly serves as an appointee of Governor Guinn on the Nevada Humanities Committee, and as an advisor to The Mesa, an artist-in-residence project near Zion National Park, Utah. She also serves as a volunteer with the National Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and the Clark County Legal Foundation, and as a Cub Scout Den Leader. She teaches Sunday School at Canyon Ridge Christian Church.
Polly and Bob's children, Robert (7) and Elizabeth (5), attend the Meadows School.
Her parents and three siblings reside in Naples, Florida; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; New Canaan, Connecticut; and Columbus, Ohio. |
